so the phone rings this morning.........

the other voice on the end of the phone reminds me of my MRI i
have scheduled for tomorrow.
She then says , "may i ask u just a couple of questions"?
In my groggy voice, i say, "sure go for it".
question #1....."are you claustrophobic?"
lmfao,,,,right thre, i started flipping out, i have heard how "small" the MRI thingies are.......
I told her i would take a xanax b4 i came for the test, and assured her i would be fine........
errrrr, i lied, i mean i WILL take the xanax, butttttttttttttt, omggggggggggggggg, those MRI machines are the size of a donut hole...they were kind enough to send me a brochure on it..........
im thinking i would have been better off NOT seeing how small the machine is.
I told hubby perhaps i should have some alcohol b4 my appt at 10:30 am.......and i got one of these.... [img]eek.gif[/img]
lmao.........wish me well.....i am BEYOND claustrophobic,,,,,,but i WILL do this..just cuz, well i have to,,in order to get on with the next step(medically speaking)

oh honey....i understand...i've seen those machines but never been in one...my dad has...

just tell yourself...breathe breathe breathe and it's only a machine and it's only for a little while and nothing can happen....

i'm so claustrophobic that my breathing is getting laboured just thinking about it....so i can only imagine how you feel facing this

know that you will be fine....just remember to breathe....close your eyes....take yourself off to a different place...somewhere you love to be...meditate...push yourself to 'not be there' for a while

don't know if this will help and i will prolly get yelled at by those who think it kinda crass...but...imagine yerself being reborn...not in the religious sense but actually...the machine is the birth canal...breathe and begin your journey to live outside the womb and look forward to the newness of birth...breathe...feel the warmth and hum of the heart...let the feelings flow...breathe...not much longer now...warm,soft, hums...breathe...breathe... and out ya come...test over...new birth...and you feel great... I will be thinking only good thoughts for you... but I have to say....just go to a place inside you...that brings you joy........ Im not sure I could do the whole rebirth thingy.... but I sure know I could go back to some fantastic memory..and relive every aspect of it that stands out in my mind........

yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
I made it thru the MRI, (almost) without incident.........notice the word ALMOST *LOL*
Actually wasnt bad, was just a technical thing, cuz i moved, so they had to redo one pic.
I was in the machine for i would say 25 minutes...
here is what i did, i walked into the room, did NOT look at the machine, and once they put me on the table b4 sliding me into the machine, i simply kept my eyes shut, so i NEVER saw how small it was.........
woooooooooooohooooooooooooooooo, i did it*G*
Now, it's the "waiting game" for the final results........... [img]eek.gif[/img]
